Biography
Joy works with principals, teachers and students in schools in the West Coast and Canterbury regions to develop their capabilities in teaching and learning practices. Her expertise is in literacy.
From 2004 – 2009 Joy was a facilitator for the Literacy Professional Development Project working with schools on the West Coast of the South Island, Christchurch City, Ashburton/Mid Canterbury, Kaikoura and North Canterbury.
In 2010 Joy worked successfully with the staff of five schools in an in-depth capacity. Joy also planned and presented National Standards workshops in Christchurch, Blenheim, Kaikoura and Ashburton.
She is the current President of the Canterbury Reading Association
