
Anne Purves
Biography
Anne Purves (M.Ed, Dip Technology Education) has a particular focus on assessment and developing the capabilities of students, teachers and leaders.
From 1995–2009, Anne was a Primary Science Adviser with Massey University, providing professional development in Science across the Massey Region. She was also a member of the national team for the development of the National Science Exemplars (2001–2002) and between 2007–2008 was a member of the National Research Team: Professional Development in Education for Sustainability
While an Adviser for Massey University, Anne was also a Facilitator for the National Assessment Project (2000–2010) and latterly Adviser for the New Zealand Curriculum. These multiple roles allowed her to put assessment theory and practice into both generic and specific contexts, thus deepening her knowledge and effectiveness as an Adviser.
